Obituary of John P. Schwemler

STOW - John P. Schwemler, 57, died February 18, 2022. Born in Akron, he was a resident of Stow since 1964. John graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music from Kent State University. John was a kind and generous family man. He was always smiling, laughing, and trying to get others to join in. He was his mom’s companion later in her life, with whom he loved to travel with AAA. John loved family gatherings, where he visited with his nephews, niece, and their growing families. Preceded in death by parents, John A. and Jackie Schwemler; brother-in-law, Bob Skinner. Left to mourn his passing are his sisters, Martha Skinner, Sarah (Matt) Morra; nephews, Rob Skinner, Cody (Lindsay) Skinner, Brian Morra; nieces, Katie (Nick) Marttila, Erin (Rob Sloan) Morra; great-nephews, Caleb and Nathan Marttila, Evan Whitmore; family friends, Cathy and Bob Flower, and many extended family. Rev. Karen Drotar will conduct service 12 PM Saturday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 11 AM to service time at the funeral home. Burial Stow Cemetery.
