Obituary of Steve A. Stahl
MUNROE FALLS - Chief Steve A. Stahl, 66, died February 19, 2022.
Born in Coshocton, Steve was a longtime Munroe Falls resident and 28-year member of the Munroe Falls Police Dept., serving as chief for 27 of those years, retiring in 2005. Steve was also a member of the FOP.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Patricia, and grandparents, William and Lucille Perolis, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen; sons, Shane and Nick (fiancée Leanna); grandchildren, Brianna and Rowan; sisters, Dianna Ellison and Julie Ross; half-brother, Larry Stahl; half-sister, Rhonda Stahl-Hogarth, and special friends, Kim Hoover, Tony Frank, Lonny Gabel, Rob Trexler, Bill Bollman, Jimmy McNicholas, and Fred Jones.
Steve’s family would like to say a special “thank you” to Summa Hospice, their nurses, Kristy and Stephanie, and Chaplain Mike Schaub.
Hospice of Summa Chaplain Mike Schaub will conduct service Thursday, 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, where friends may call from 3 PM until service time. Private interment Stow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org), or to a favorite charity.
