Obituary of Janet D. Crnkovich
HUDSON - Janet D. Crnkovich, 92, died February 26, 2022. Born February 17th, 1930, in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the youngest of Ralph C. Dickson and Lois Finney Dickson’s eight children. She graduated from Lexington High School and eventually moved to Cleveland where she worked at the Standard Oil Building. Once married, Janet shifted her energy to her home and family. The couple lived in New Albany, IN, Norwood, MA, and finally settled in Hudson, Ohio. Later she returned to work at Crystalloid and King’s Medical.
Janet wed John J. Crnkovich and they enjoyed 60 happily married years together. They had two daughters, Ann Crnkovich and Joan Seidel. She adored her two grandsons, John and James Seidel. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother.
Janet is remembered for her deep abiding faith, her love of family, her ministry of keeping connections with people via letter writing, pride in her household, poetry, listening to classical music, and playing games.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her seven siblings: Ralph, Alice, James, Eleanore, Robert, Betty, and David. She is survived by her two daughters and grandsons, and many loving nieces and nephews. Janet was a wonderful woman whose beloved presence will be missed by all those who knew her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 6th at the United Methodist Church of Kent, 1435 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio 44240 from 2 - 3:30 PM, with a funeral service immediately following, officiated by Reverends Palmer and Denton. Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 7th, 2022, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
