Obituary of Alvin T. Whetsel
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Alvin T. Whetsel, 90, died March 1, 2022.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, PA, he was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Alvin had been employed with the Ford Motor Company as a machinist, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Steeles Corner Community Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting at the family cabin.
Preceded in death by wife, Virginia Whetsel; brothers, Raymond, Clyde, Carl, Clarence, Jr., and Larry; sisters, Juanita, Dorothy, and Eleen. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Carol) Whetsel; daughters, Kelly (Kirk) Shaver, Kim (Joseph) Steiger, and Jennifer (Pete) Goumas; grandchildren, Cyle Whetsel, Derek McIntyre, Mitchell Whetsel, Acacia Shaver, Kara Shaver, Jeffrey Shaver, Matthew Steiger, Lauren Steiger, Nichole Steiger, Kayla Goumas, and Rachel Goumas; and four great-grandchildren.
Pastor Dan Page will conduct service 10 AM Saturday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 9 AM to service time. Burial Northampton Cemetery.
