Obituary of Frances J. Townsend

STOW - Frances J. Townsend, 88, died March 18, 2022. Born in Walkersville, WV, she became a resident of Akron in 1951, then moved to Stow in 1963. Frances had been self-employed as an LPN nurse, working in both hospitals and private duty. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Preceded in death by husband, James D. Townsend; and son-in-law, Craig Lewis. She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Paul) Dauber and Cindy Lewis; son, P. Wayne (Mary) Townsend; brother, William K. (Faye) Hall; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Pastor Dan Page will conduct service Saturday at 10:30 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 5 PM to 7 PM Friday and 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM service time Saturday at the funeral home. Interment Silver Springs Cemetery.
