Obituary of Merrill Dean Simmerman
WESTFIELD CENTER – Merrill Dean Simmerman, 71, died May 1, 2010
Born in Amity, OR and a resident of Westfield Center, Merrill was a US Army veteran and a longtime member of The Chapel in Akron. Merrill retired after 29 years of service with Westfield Companies and 10 years in Government Relations in West Virginia. A loving and faithful husband and father, Merrill deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Merrill is survived by his wife Marjorie; children Jeffrey (Renee’) Simmerman, Deborah (Bill) Simpson and William (Michelle) Simmerman; grandchildren Micheal, Nancy and Joshua Simmerman, Bill, Marissa, Katie, Rebecca and Marjorie Simpson and Merrilee Simmerman; brother Donovan Simmerman and sisters Donna Crittenden and Marilyn Fluckey.
Calling hours will be Tuesday May 4th from 6 to 9 PM at Valleyview Chapel, 1391 State Road in Wadsworth, where funeral services will be Wednesday May 5th at 10 AM. Burial services will be at Westfield Center Cemetery immediately following the service.
