Obituary of Patricia A. Sayer

STOW-  Patricia A. Sayer, 71, died April 3, 2010 at home, with dignity and grace, the way she lived her life.   Preceded in death by her father Harry J. Lattimer and son-in-law Daniel L. Sayer, she is survived by mother Adele M. Lattimer of Tallmadge; husband Harry A. Sayer of Stow; daughter Michelle Sayer of Cuyahoga Falls; sons Michael (Lorrie) Sayer of Akron and Richard Sayer of Venice, FL; five grandchildren: Carrianne (Shannon) Payne of Cuyahoga Falls, Julianne and Andrew Sayer, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Shannon Sayer of Canal Fulton, and Richard Sayer of Port Charlotte, FL, two special “adopted” grandsons, Andrew Loucks of Akron and Todd Lamb of Cuyahoga Falls; five great- grandchildren: Summer Sayer, Shannon Payne, Jr., Nikai Payne, Daniel and Patrick Trommer; sisters Betty (Steve) Steinmetz of Kent, JoAnn (Barry) Devine of St. Petersburg, FL, brothers Harry (Beth) Lattimer of Tallmadge, Donald Lattimer of Stow, Stephen (Liz) Lattimer of Stow;  half-brother Bob Lattimer of Rome, GA,  and sisters-in-law Phyllis Neer of Ravenna and Nancy Sayer of Peyson, Arizona.   Pat was proud of her Lebanese heritage and her large, ethnic family. She loved family gatherings. She graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1956.  After attending the Applied Art Academy in Akron, she worked as an advertising artist for Ohio Bell. In 1973, after her children were all in school, she began working for Stow Schools as a Teachers Aide at Woodland Elementary School. She later became a Study Hall Monitor at Kimpton Middle School and retired in 2001 after 27 years of service.   She was active in her union, The Stow-Munroe Falls Classified Employees Association and served several terms as President. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, doing art projects, gardening, Euchre Club, playing poker with Dick and Judy, playing gin with Judy, and the Evening Book Discussion Group at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. She and Harry were married in Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow, where they were members for fifty years and participated in many parish activities.  They celebrated fifty years of marriage on November 30, 2007.   Friends may call Tuesday 5 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home.  Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Burial Stow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stewart’s Caring Place, Attn: Elaine Neumann, 2955 W.
