Obituary of Alice T. Welch

STOW- Alice T. Welch, 83, died March 20,2010. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she had lived in Stow since 1964. Earning an associate degree from Akron University, Alice was the past president of the Stow Woman’s Club, a volunteer at Stan Hywet and Kent State Fashion Design Museum, a member of Stow Sunshiners, Friends of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library and an avid bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Welch, son Richard C. Leopold and daughter Heidi A. DeLapa, she is survived by sons Martin R. Leopold (Ginny), James H. Welch; daughters Loreene F. Aloisi (Orlando), Gretchen A. Drago (Phillip); grandchildren Andrew Aloisi (Sharon), Jeffrey Aloisi (Megan), Bryan Leopold, Christopher and Melissa Drago, Jessica Ports (Andrew), Alissa DeLapa, Kara and Kailyn Welch; three great-grandchildren, Roman, Alena and Gabriella Aloisi and only nephew, Gene Johnson. Friends may call Sunday 5 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Monday 10 AM. Burial Stow Cemetery.
