Obituary of W.R Dillon
W. R. "Bob" Dillon, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He leaves his wife, Ginny, sons, Rob and David, two grandchildren, Lennon and Wade; stepchildren David (Tara) Lee and Jennifer (James) Huffman.
Bob served in the 95th Division of the Army during WW II in reconnaissance. He was a graduate of Rocky River High School and Baldwin Wallace and sold steel for a Youngstown firm until his retirement. Bob refereed for Youth Hockey and was a sailing instructor for Western Reserve Academy. Bob's interest in photography led to his establishing Robert's Custom Framing Gallery in Hudson. A long time resident of Hudson, he enjoyed his many Hudson coffee friends, especially Hub.
Sailing in the Caribbean and skiing with his sons were favorite vacations of his. His most memorable trip was a cruise down the Rhine and Danube rivers where he served during WW II. Bob was a kind and supportive stepfather.
At his request there will be no calling hours and a private family service has been planned.
