Obituary of Frank L. Kurtz
Frank L. Kurtz, 86, died February 28, 2010.
Born in Kearney, PA, he had lived in Stow since 1960, was a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in Iwo Jima. Mr. Kurtz had retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1986 and was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Frank had coached CYO football, Kent Pee Wee football and Stow Hot Stove baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Harriett; daughter Cindy (Jim ) Hayes; sons Larry (Donna), and Dave (Wendy); grandchildren, Russ, Mic, Corey and Darby; sisters Janet, Irene, Wilma and Helen; brothers Joseph, Paul and Robert.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stow Glen and Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service for their kind care of Frank.
Friends may call Wednesday 5 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors provided by the United State Marine Corps. Friends may meet and procession will form at the church. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333.
