Obituary of Robert R. Given

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Robert R. Given, 82, died February 19, 2010. Born in Clay, West Virginia, he was an area resident for over 50 years.  He proudly served his country in the NAVY during World War 2 aboard the Boxer Aircraft Carrier and retired from Chrysler after 32 years of devoted service. He is survived by his wife Caterina; sons Wayne (Kim) of Silver Lake, Scott (Darlene) of North Carolina, John of California, daughter Darlene (Charles) Heinl of Florida; and Bob (Janet) Bier of Uniontown; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Blanche and Josephine; twin brother Bill (Glenn) many nieces and nephews and countless friends who loved him so.  Father Thomas McCann will conduct service Tuesday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, 44333 who showed such compassion and love.
