Obituary of Dorothy N. Garcia

Dorothy N. Garcia, 75, formerly of Munroe Falls, died February 10, 2010.  Born in Blanco, TX, she lived in Munroe Falls for 31 years prior to moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 2005.  Preceded in death by her husband, Emil in 2002, she is survived by her daughter, Julee (David) Mott of Cuyahoga Falls, son, Tom Garcia of Chesterland; grandchildren, Samantha and Austin Garcia and sister, Carolyn (Gene) Clements of Cedar Park, TX. Dorothy served as a volunteer at Akron City Hospital for 29 years with 8300 hours of service.  She also served on the Akron City Hospital Women's Board since 1983. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the Redmon Funeral Home where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Monday 10 AM.  Cremation and burial at Silver Springs Cemetery will follow at a later date.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Women's Board Memorial Research Fund at Summa Health System, 525 E.
