Obituary of Charles F. Bauer
Charles (Chuck) F. Bauer of Tallmadge, 73, passed away on Saturday, January 9th, 2010.
Born August 16, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank and Theresa Bauer, he graduated from Central High School, was a veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and played the accordion in local clubs in the 50’s & 60’s. He was a retiree from the Postal Service and was on the Munroe Falls Board of Zoning Appeals for 27 years from 1972-1992. Chuck was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved following his Browns, Cavs, Indians, & Ohio State teams. He loved working in his yard, reading westerns, playing poker with his family, and watching his grandson’s baseball games.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy E. Bauer, loving daughters Debbie (Denis) Wallin of Munroe Falls, Denise Cully of Uniontown, and the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Nicole (Dirk) Rozich, Brandon Wallin, Randy and Ryan Cully. Also, sister Ethel (Andy) Pfaff of Hiram, brothers Joe (Fran) Bauer of Akron, Steve (Sharon) Bauer of Tallmadge, and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Calling hours will be held at the Redmon Funeral Home Wednesday, January 13th from 6:00pm–8:00pm. A service at Redmon Funeral Home will take place Thursday, January 14th at noon, followed by the burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fairlawn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Summit County at 1889 Indian Hills Trail, Akron, OH 44313.
