Obituary of Jerry Johnson

Jeremiah (Jerry) Johnson STOW- Jerry, 91, died December 30, 2009. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime resident of Akron and Stow, graduated from East High School and was a US Army veteran of World War II.  Jerry retired from GenCorp in 1977 with 40 years service, was a member of Victory Lodge 649 F & AM, Fernleaf Chapter 422 OES and Oak Hill Presbyterian Church.  Jerry also loved golf and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Dorothy; sons David of Akron and Jim of SC; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and special friends Dick and Julie Smith and Hannah Paulin. Pastor Brian Nutt will conduct service Tuesday 12 noon at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11 AM until service time.  Burial Hillside Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron 44312.
