To our Beloved "Mr. Stow" your family is in our hearts and prayers. Have comfort in that he was such a wonderful person to listen to. I have been a WNIR listener since the mid 70's and since your loved one came on. He and Howie are having great conversations now. He will be so missed. God Bless you in your time of mourning.

When I was employed, now retired, I would get into my car and tune to WNIR. Most days, coincidentally, I would hear "Mr. Stow" usually around 11:15. He was so entertaining, funny and intelligent and I was so happy when I happened to hear his call into the radio station. When Howie died I did not hear Mr. Stow for the longest time and I heard hosts and callers note his absence. I knew he must have taken it hard. Then he called the Jim Isabella show one night and I heard him again. I don't usually call in but right after his call I had to call in and say that I enjoyed hearing Mr. Stow again and how I looked forward to catching his call to Howie on my lunch. I hope he heard my comment. I hope he knew how his thoughts on the radio were enjoyed by many. It is very sad news to hear of his passing and as I write this I hear his laughter and spirited remarks, unrehearsed, well spoken and genuinely original. Ugh, such a loss and he will be missed on the radio like he was by so many after Howie died---but even more. Sorry for your sudden loss. He is now added to the iconic losses from the WNIR family.

I never met George. In fact I disagreed with him more than 90% of the time when he would call Howie (Chizek) on WNIR. That being said; when George would call; I had to pause what I was doing, whether work or whatever and listen to his entire call.
May you rest in peace George. I am praying for you to have eternal peace. I am looking forward to the day that I hear you and Howie on Heaven's talk station. Until then though; you gave me fond memories.
God bless you Bernard George "Mr. Stow" Nehlsen.

Although I never met you, I feel like you were my friend. Loved hearing you call in to WNIR and banter with Howie. You were my all time favorite caller...you seemed so nice, knowledgeable, charming & funny. When hearing your calls, I can remember thinking "his wife sure is a lucky lady!" Say hi to Howie up there in heaven for me. :) Rest in peace Mr. Nehlsen.

Dear Debbie and family,
We have no words that can even begin to describe the sadness we feel for you and your precious family. The four of us feel honored and blessed to have known George and to have experienced the many joys he brought to each of us. He was the life of Camden cul-de-sac and we have the best memories of him. Lonee and Owen talk in great length about all the times he went out of his way to throw suckers out his car windows or ring the doorbell late at night to deliver a free pizza to us! Who does that??? GEORGE did and he will truly be missed. Jeff will miss the lengthy and friendly conversations he and George shared about Mogadore football and fishing trips! I am already missing his sweet waves and shouts "hello" every time we saw each other at the mailboxes, the grocery store or while grabbing the newspaper on our driveways! This world is a better place because George was in it and he will be greatly missed.
Endless prayers and much love-
Jeff, Babette, Lonee and Owen Fankhauser
