Poem I LOST A FRIEND TODAY I lost a Friend today I know he's in a better place There's just no one here That has his face I sat alone to contemplate And all it did was aggravate I talked to GOD about my friend Asking why now and not then I lost my friend today He gave so much And asked so little I see that now Life's just a riddle A thought came to mind How selfish - how unkind I've been grieving for me I've been left behind I lost my friend today I like to think of him still here It gives me comfort I know he's near There was no warning There was no closure Made me aware Of time that is shared It's precious and real And this is the deal We only have NOW So it's today I vow I will honor my friend Every day of my life By giving my heart And sharing the light Say your thanks Share your love For every day is a gift from above Jeffeny Hayes In Memory of Tom Uldal
