Words cannot tell you of the sorrow we both are feeling with the passing of Cathy. There are so many memories we have of times we spent with you. Evenings playing games into the night , going camping in the cold with our two small children, and so many other things I cannot tell them all. . My heart goes out to Michael and Christina both with the loss of your mother. I will miss my friend God be with Mike, Mike, Kelly, Michael and Christina as only He can console. I am sure she is with Him in heaven. With our sorrow, Carl & Betti Hervol.

Mike, Michael and Christina - we loved your mom so much! She was a great cook and a wonderful mother who loved us all equally!! We all received her praise and her discipline as if we were her own children. Your mom was always excited about life. When she got excited or frustrated, she sometimes lost her English. :-). Even in her difficulties and struggles, she was gracious and funny and vivacious! We are so sad that we will not see her again on this side of eternity. But we will see her again and that gives us comfort. I wonder if they have baklava in heaven! :-) Jill P.S. I just read Ryan’s post and was so touched that we independently said the same thing about Kathy! She was a tiny little lady with an enormous personality! We loved her!!

Growing up, I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor! Mrs. Kubiak would hold us accountable just as our mom would. She also loved us as our own mom did. She was kind, fun and so caring to the gaggle of children next door. No matter how many years would go by, she would always give the biggest hugs, have tears in her eyes and squeeze my cheeks and take me back to being a kid again. I knew she loved this neighbor kid as she did to so many! I will always remember her laugh! She laughed without apology and with such exuberance! I felt I was missing out on something good if I heard her laughing nearby. I am thankful for Cathy, thankful that God crossed our paths and allowed me to have such an awesome next door neighbor. Michael & Christina, my prayers are with you. You mom is special and I am thankful to have grown up with you and your family. Ryan
