I went to grade school, high school, and college with Vic. We made our Holy Communion and Confirmation together. My proudest moment was to beat him in a 100 yard dash when we were about 13. I was sorry to hear of his passing. He was a high achiever and a role model. My condolences to his family.

Condolences and prayers to Vic’s family. Vic was one of the first friends I made at Regis HS. Much respected his academic and athletic talents. What a wonderful legacy he’s left behind.

I offer my condolences to the family of Vic. i was a year ahead of Vic at Regis high school, and before he had a car or could drive he rode to school with me . We also played baseball together at Regis and he was a great left handed pitcher. Although I have not seen him since,I will never forget what a great person he was.

Vic was a year ahead of me at Regis High School. I remember a kind kid but most of all a very good basketball player --- all paroke in the Denver Parochial League to be more exact. He helped us win a lot. Good Man --- sorry I did not really know him after high school.

We are very sorry to see this news. Vic was the best looking guy in town, and a helluva left-handed pitcher. I played for Cathedral against him while he was at Regis High, and later with him in summers and at Regis College. He had a productive and good life. May he rest in peace.

I would like to express my condolences to the friends and family. Loosing someone we love is never easy. Sometimes our close friends and family don’t even understand our pain. Fortunately we have a loving God who does and knows exactly what we need. Turn to HIM in prayer. He is the God of all comfort and wants to help you through this. 2 Corinthians 1:3.4 that says praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. I hope this is a source of comfort for you.

My memories of Victor go back 40 years. I swam on the SLCC swim team with Nicki and Vic. Two of the best! Mr. Artese, as I knew him then, announced our meets. One of the all time great voices.
My next chapter was getting to know Vic on the golf course as a caddy. He would always say hello to me no matter the mood due to his golf score. He played often with my father, Denny, at Silver Lake. They would also go on golf trips together.
My latest chapter was joining Victor and my Dad on golf trips over the last 8-10 years. I've been on plenty of golf trips and let me tell you these were some of my favorites. Never a dull moment. I joined them Palm Springs multiple years in a row. Golf, dinners, and cocktails by the pool. Quite a few stories and even more laughs.
Victor always made me smile. Quick wit and perfect diction were part of his overall repertoire. He will be missed by the Sykes boys on the golf course and of course at the 19th hole.
My best wishes to the entire family.
Sincerely,
Shawn Sykes

I first met Vic a little over 25 years ago. He was always very kind, and had a great story or joke to tell. I will always remember his laugh and great sense of humor.
Rest in Peace Vic
