Joanne was the gentilest lady I have ever known. She encouraged everyone and always thought the best. She uplifted my heart and loved my children and let them know it. Her love for Jesus was expressed openly to all. Her generous giving was experienced by my whole family. She knew I loved red and made sure our gift received included red glasses and plates which I still cherish because she chose them. She picked out the grandfather clock which the church presented to us on an anniversary. I will miss her so much but am so thankful to have shared 34 years in ministry with her. Loved her and her hubby and children. Know I will see her in heaven rejoicing.

Mrs. Engle. Thank you so much for your kind words about my Mom. She was indeed a jewel! Yesterday was her first Sunday in heaven. I can only imagine her sitting at the feet of Jesus soaking in all He had to say and singing in that heavenly choir. I’m looking forward to seeing her again.

I count a privilege of having been Joanne's Pastor for 33 years at Graham Road Baptist Church. What a blessing she was to so many people. God gave her the privilege of ministering to so many His people in so many ways down through those years. What a joy awaited her as she entered in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and being able for the first time of seeing His glorious face. Not only did she serve for many years on our Missionary Committee but she also was my secretary for several years. Joanne was always willing to be of service where ever she was needed. She was such a blessing and joy to my own heart! Whenever anybody was in the hospital or in need, she and her husband Sam were always ready to visit or to try to meet that need. As the Apostle Paul wrote, she is "absent from the body, but present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). What a joy awaits those of us who know Jesus Christ as our own personal Savior as we await the soon coming our Lord In the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Thank you Lord for allowing such a godly woman to be among us. Our loss is Heaven's Gain!

Pastor Engle. Your words are so true! My Mom is rejoicing in heaven! Free of her pain and confusion. She is catching up with all those who have gone before her, waiting on us, and best of all walking and talking with our Lord. Thank you for being such good friends with my Mom and Dad.

Sam and Family, JoAnne was so special for so many of us and always found a way to help. My family and I have so many special memories of her. I thank her for always helping Jim with Sunday School matters, helping Teresa feel special when she would call her and congratulate her on 4 H ribbons and all the time she helped me with so many things. She was so loved and will really be missed. My prayers for all of you.

Dear Sammy and family,
Through tears, I fondly recall spending time with Joanne (and you Sammy) when we moved to Ohio. She was my lifeline when the kids were little and I knew very few people and none others that were home during the day! How I looked forward to going to see her. She was so good to Malissa and Ethan (and me!) and always had some fun craft or activity for us.....or of course something yummy to eat. I never will forget the kids getting in the box with the Basset puppies, squealing with delight. Every Christmas , I couldn’t wait to see all of her fantastic creations. She was a wonderful lady. I thought of her often after we moved to Kansas. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Patricia Wolfe
