I was saddened to hear the news about Dennis. I met Dennis through my brother in law and I’m so glad I was able to spend some time with him. He was a wonderful, caring man and gone way too soon from this life. My condolences to all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed!❤️

Always a smile… We will miss our friend. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Dennis was a childhood friend that would pop in our house with my brothers band when everyone was practicing. We will remember him for his kindness, his caring personality, and he always greeted you with a smile. A genuine man that loved humanity. God Bless… Rieger/ Coseno Family

So proud to have known you, Dennis, over the past 50 years. Your amazing gentle nature, smiles that never stopped, and strong assurances that "all is well", will be missed in our Ward 1 and all across the city of Stow. We were so proud to place your reelection sign in our front yard and encourage our neighbors to vote for our "best City Councilman" ever!!! You deserved our support and you had it, unconditionally. You were so humble, yet happy. Noone could have done it better. You demonstrated your Christian faith, "God, family, and friends", each time you passed someone on the street, met in a store, or visited one of our homes. True, the sun shines a little less bright today and we are wiping away sad, sad tears, but we promise to always remember the love and commitment you demonstrated towards our well-beings in your campaign slogan: "Do you WANT this, or do you NEED it?" Like a parent caring for their child and a shepherd caring for his flock, these words ring true, So, tonight we will pray for your safe keeping, ask that God wraps His loving arms around you in comfort, and that we remember to hold memories of you close to our hearts as we awaken to each new day here on earth. Until we meet again, our dear friend, thank you for all you have left here with us.
Floyd and Sheryl Hall

I was saddened to hear that Dennis had passed. He was a classmate of mine when I was a new student at Stow Jr High, and was one of the first to be friendly with me.
I will never forget my time working at the Pizzeria back in my college days.
Heartfelt condolence to the Altieri family.

Dennis was not my first cousin but he treated me and my family as if we were. Dennis was extremely kind and always was interested and listened to how you and family were doing. My husband Kevin visited the pizza restaurant and Dennis would send him home with a bag of his famous chicken seasoning . He was a great person who left his mark on this world. Now he is in the next world with God family and Angelina. God Bless his family. Therese Scarcella Sullivan (Sadie Scarcell's daughter)

The world, Akron and Stow has lost a good friend and critic of good food, fine restaurants (and some not so fine) and cuisine.
What a good bud you were to me for so many years, even after I moved! You always remembered and never forgot, your smile and kind words were always 'justa' what we wanted to see and hear. I'll miss seeing you and exchanging messages with you from afar, but I'll remember you every time I open a can of San Marzano Tomatoes.
As my Grandmother Merlitti would say, 'Goda Bless'!

My deepest condolences to the family of Dennis. I’ve had my arguments with Dennis as many have. But I’ve always known him to be honest and caring of others. The entire Alterie family has been so much a part of my life growing up it’s difficult to see anyone pass. His parents meant so much to me and the community and now time has taken another kind soul. My heart breaks for their loss and at the same time angered at those who falsely lead people to anti vax propaganda. Dennis paid the ultimate price for believing the lie. If you are reading this and have not gotten vaccinated do it so your loved ones don’t have to grieve through this nightmare. We all have underlying conditions as we get older. This virus takes advantage of that weakness. Fight for your family and friends they love you. Rest In Peace Dennis. Gods speed. Respectfully Honorable Thomas Watkins Esq

Our deepest sympathy to all of Denny's family and friends. It truly was a pleasure to know him for many years (to many to count)!
He always had a smile on his face when you walked into the #1 pizza palace, or digging golf balls out of the woods, or just hanging out. We got to invent the now famous Pulled Pork Pizza together......... Live on brother, see you soon. Bill & Deb Smith
