Celebrating Sandi Dodovich, our sister-in-law with an infectious laugh!
Sandi loved to laugh and the laughter of others. She often set herself up as the brunt of the joke by asking rhetorical questions or mistakenly using a word in place of a similar-sounding one, with an unintentional amusing effect. In the days of tending bar at the Firestone Park Café, Sandi arrived and ordered a drink - the infamous, “Cosmo Collie”. She ordered it with such confidence that one would think it was the most popular beverage of the 80’s. Confusion on how to mix such a drink was followed by a realization that what she wanted was a “Kamikaze!” Without even a sip, Sandi took one whiff, laid down in a booth and fell asleep. Later she was carried home.
We always looked forward to annual shopping sprees on the day after Thanksgiving, where we would pack-up the turkey day left overs, climb aboard the MS Chevy Home on Wheels van, and set sail for distant lands of unknown treasures. Hours later we’d arrive at a retail outlet where we would go ashore and shop ‘til we dropped.
Many Christmas Eves’ were spent playing Tripoley. Sandi loved Tripoley but most of all, she loved the togetherness created while playing it.
Sandi always demonstrated her love and devotion to family and knew the importance of these relationships. It is her dedication to family that inspired a donation made in her name to St. George Antiochian Church to help families in need.
Sandi, you are loved. You are missed. You are free.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom and sister, aunt and friend Sandi was a kind, sweet, classy woman who loved her family something fierce and it showed. May she rest in peace in the arms of Jesus as she is whole again.
